HLT.digital Conference in Tenerife

The Tenerife HLT.Digital Conference, organized by our partner, the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de La Orotava, was a valuable 2-day face-to-face event held in Spain. This conference emerged as a platform to showcase the humanistic values of our project website, www.hlt.digital . Attendees, including language school directors, managers, trainers, teachers, and researchers, enjoyed a rich program of professional development. They explored the traits of a humanistic teacher, continuous professional development, strategies to create safe learning environments, and methods to enhance student motivation and wellbeing.

The opening of the conference was dedicated to present the project and the closing to highlight the importance of the Erasmus programme. The conference featured 4 of HLT practitioners that have profiles on the project website and many others who have been considered to be included in the project website enhancing a dialogue with educational professionals on who are important figures of HLT, how is HLT reflected in the present and how the project results can be utilised in practical ways.

This multiplier event aimed to reach two distinct target groups: those within the project partnership and those outside of it. The dissemination of the event was targeted at regional, national, and international levels, utilizing various communication channels including organizational networks, the social media platforms of project partners and the project itself, newsletters, and collaborations with associated partners. The event has been also supported by Canarian Government, that has started to celebrate an annual International Conference inspired by this event and plans to continue in organizing.
