Description
The text introduces action mazes, initially designed for business training but effective for prompting quick, insightful gist-reading in second language learners. These mazes involve role assignments, presented problems, and multiple action choices with branching outcomes. Planning entails creating a complete tree structure, and students are urged to generate mazes by brainstorming and group-created tree diagrams. The most committed student transforms the tree diagram into cards for homework. The workshop aims to familiarize participants with action mazes experientially, guide them in tree-writing, and discuss potential teaching challenges.
